William Henry “Bill” Gates III, born on October 28, 1955 in Seattle, Washington, is an American computer pioneer and philanthropist. He is co-founder of Microsoft where he is Chairman and then 2000 Chief Architect. Biography

Bill Gates was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. His father, William H. Gates was a prominent lawyer. His mother Mary was Board in First Interstate Bank and United Way and her father was head of a bank. Bill Gates has two sisters, Kristi Anne, who is older, and Libby, who is younger.

Gates went to high school in Lakeside School. His main subjects were Mathematics and science subjects. In eighth grade students’ class mothers bought a computer for school through a Flea Market. In January 1975, After Gates had read a newspaper article about Altair 8800; he contacted the computer manufacturer, MITS. MITS Director, Ed Roberts agreed to meet with them for a show. A few weeks before the meeting began the writing program. They developed an Altair-Emulator running on a minicomputer, And a BASIC interpreter. Paul Allen was hired by MITS, and Gates took time off from Harvard to work with Allen at MITS. In November 1975 Gates and Allen started the partnership “Micro-soft”, and the year after it was renamed to “Microsoft”.
